Introducing Roger Woolley

Roger and Sue Woolley

Roger Woolley is very proud and passionate about Tasmania and the lifestyle that can be achieved by all those that love to call Australia home.

It is for these reasons that Roger wants to assist others in achieving a lifestyle that other people around the world can only envy. Roger, his son Jay and partner Sue have now joined the Oomph family.

Roger’s cricket achievements are well documented, having represented Australia and Tasmania with great distinction. Roger also brings with him a strong background in sales and marketing, complemented by sound negotiating skills, developed through his senior roles in business management and sales.

Roger has a “Can-Do“ attitude and one of his great strengths is his ability to make things work rather than to look for reasons why they can’t.

Roger has always acted with honesty and integrity and is committed to ensuring that the Oomph family customers will receive the benefits of these strengths into the future.

What is specialty coffee?

Specialty coffee is gourmet coffee, or premium quality coffee. It is coffee that is grown in ideal conditions and has the highest flavour. It is easy to say that you have specialty coffee, but the fact is that only one percent of coffee on the market is true specialty coffee. Oomph! Tasmanian Gourmet Coffee is in the top one percent in the world, using certified, organic, shade-grown, washed Arabica coffee beans.

The test, for you, is in the taste. Strong does not mean special. Cheap Robusta coffee beans, used in instant coffees and most chain coffee-shop outlets – even some that claim to serve specialty coffee – do not have the complex sugars and round flavours and distinctiveness of genuine specialty coffee.

Oomph! Tasmanian Gourmet Coffee is a true specialty coffee for the discerning.

The Beans ~

Oomph! Tasmanian Gourmet Coffee starts with the selection of the best single-origin, organic, shade-grown, washed Arabica beans – certified in accordance with the quality standards of Rainforest Alliance, Global Care, and the Four C code. These cost us a lot more than the price of the cheap beans that go into most chain-outlet coffees. The flavour and pleasure that comes from high-end specialty coffee is worth the extra price paid to the farmer, for him, and us!

The Roasting ~

Craft-roasting is as much an art as a science. This is not part of the process that should be left to hit and miss, or to the urgency of mechanized production.

The roasting process »

At Oomph! Tasmanian Gourmet Coffee we take care. We want to be known as the best there is.

The Results ~

The years of developing specialized roasting profiles, and exotic blends for supreme satisfaction has given results that the Oomph Family are all proud of.

Our coffees are some of the most highly awarded in Australia, but our real satisfaction comes from the results we see our customers achieve in their cafés, and homes, as they deliver some of the most wonderful coffee you could ever imagine to their clients and friends. Our Oomph! Tasmanian Gourmet Coffee is rich, smooth, and deliciously satisfying in every way. The highest level of premium quality beans are always used and our highly secret blends always deliver. Cafés that change to Oomph! coffee report immediate increases in sales and assured customer delight. We would love to have you join the Oomph! Family too.
